8 Easter Candies To Satisfy Your Munchies

  • Comments

Easter is this Sunday, and that means that it’s time to talk about one thing: candy. No matter what what your religious status is, we can all agree that Easter candy is fantastic, especially when you have the munchies. To prepare you for the annual festival of stuffing your face with pastel pieces of chocolate, here are the best Easter candies to satisfy your munchies. You’ll notice that marshmallow Peeps aren’t on here. That’s because Peeps are not candy, they’re garbage.

Reese’s Eggs

Reeses are awesome any time of year, but there’s just something special about eating them when they’re shaped like eggs. They’re designed to fit perfectly into your mouth, and they are actually just a little bit bigger than regular Reese’s peanut butter cups. Chocolate and peanut butter are always going to come out ahead especially when you’re baked. Pro-tip: try putting two together to make a delicious candy sandwich.

Robin Eggs (aka Whoppers)

Robin Eggs, which are known as Whoppers the rest of the year, taste extra delicious at Easter time. Perhaps it’s the fact that Robin Eggs are covered in a colorful pastel candy shell, when they’re normally brown the other 11 months of the year. The candy shell takes a much longer time to melt than other candy coated chocolates. Once you get started on a bag of these they’re really difficult to put down.

Cadbury Creme Eggs

Ah, the classic Cadbury Creme Egg! This delicious Easter candy is only available a few months out of the year, which makes them all the more special when you do get a hold of them. The delicious mix of chocolate and the white and yellow fondant make for the perfect munchie combination. Make sure you stop after two, unless you want one hell of a toothache.

Starburst Jelly Beans

I must confess, I’m not a huge fan of jelly beans, not even Jelly Belly jelly beans. I was probably the only person not excited when the Harry Potter Every Flavor Beans came out. I’m sorry, but buttered popcorn? Who wants to eat that as candy? Starburst Jelly Beans are different, probably because they taste like Starburst which are the best candy ever. They’re perfect for eating one at a time, or stuffing your mouth full. They taste extra delicious after a couple dabs.

Easter M&Ms

These are my favorite M&Ms, more so than the Christmas ones, and definitely more than the regular ones. That’s probably because the colors are awesome. They also taste slightly more delicious than the other M&Ms. You can make some pretty sweet cookies with these and a couple grams of some good ganja.

Hershey’s Solid Chocolate Eggs

I’m not a huge fan of solid chocolate, like Hershey’s bars, but these bite size eggs are the perfect size for stoned snackin. The pastel foil wrappers make awesome arts and crafts too. Even if you’re not a fan of solid chocolate, it does enhance your high, and that’s not a bad thing, right?

SweeTarts Chicks, Ducks, & Bunnies

These special Easter edition SweeTarts are shaped like, you guessed it chicks, ducks and bunnies. Try saying that ten times fast, I bet you can’t! They’re slightly smaller than regular SweeTarts and that is just fine by me. Word to the wise, don’t eat too many or they will burn a hole in your tongue (not literally, of course).

The Chocolate Bunny

The pièce de résistance, of Easter candy, the chocolate bunny. I heard somewhere that seventy percent of people eat the bunny ears first. This is probably b.s., but it’s interesting to think about. What draws people to the ears? Also, more importantly, can you make a bong out of it?

Did I miss any of your favorites (except Peeps). Tell me in the comments. If you want to berate me for my hatred of Peeps, you can do that here too.
