We love to smoke weed for many different reasons. Cannabis relaxes us, makes us feel more creative, eases muscle pains, really I could go on and on. One of the things that I love about smoking herb is how energetic certain strains make me feel. Right now, I’m smoking this delicious sativa called Marionberry, and it’s making me feel like running around the bock. Unfortunately, it’s the dead of winter where I live, so I won’t be doing that anytime soon. So, what strains are the best to smoke when you need a quick pick-me-up? Obviously, the best strains to smoke are sativas, which are well known for making the user feel energetic and creative. Here are six sativas well known for being the best for a good pick-me-up.
Chocolope
The first time I tried Chocolope was when a friend of mine was visiting from Denver. It gave me a pick-me-up, but it was also nice and mellow. I didn’t feel cracked out. That’s why those who smoke it say that it’s best for wake and bakes. The flavor is described by most as earthy, so pretty standard taste for a sativa. Perhaps there’s a small hint of chocolate in there.
Green Crack
Green Crack is awesome. This is the type of smoke that will make you want to get up and dance all night. While Chocolope is like sipping on your morning cup of coffee, Green Crack is more like chugging a tall can of Monster, but without the horrible stomach ache afterward. Green Crack is also great for when you need to get some chores done. It’s great for those times that you need to clean your house really fast before company comes over, or your parents drop by unannounced.

Everyone’s old favorite can always be counted on for a good energy boost. Sour Diesel is the perfect strain for larger smoking circles. A bowl lasts for a while and it’s guaranteed to get everyone socializing. Sour Diesel is perfect for parties because it also rolls into a really tasty blunt.
Alaskan Thunderfuck
Perhaps the best name for a strain that I’ve ever heard, Alaskan Thunderfuck delivers everything that the name promises. What exactly that means, I’ll leave up to you. The high hits you immediately, and makes you go “fuuuuuck,” as you exhale. Alaskan Thunderfuck is also known for being among the more pungent strains out there. It’s what everyone thinks of when they think of “skunk weed.”
Jack Herer
This classic strain is named after the famous cannabis activist and author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes, Jack Herer. This strain is especially loved by musicians and other artists because it’s one of those strains that is not only good for a pick-me-up, but also boosts creativity. This strain is most well known for the, happy, floaty high that it gives you.
